Intellectual Property Bankside Chambers includes in our members senior barristers who have practiced almost exclusively at the intellectual property bar for well over a quarter of a century. Members include authors of leading New Zealand texts on intellectual property and who have appeared in most of New Zealand's major intellectual property litigation in recent years. Our combined experience covers all aspects of media: print, ephemeral, electronic and digital applications. We have represented and continue to represent industry groups, collectives and individuals as well as RROs and educational establishments. Our advice includes advising government departments and ministries, SROs and quasi-governmental bodies. We have also assisted in the drafting of legislation. Our members include past presidents of the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand, past chairpersons of the New Zealand Ballet Company and the New Zealand Film Commission and the current chair of Theatre Corporate. We also have five members of the WIPO Domain Dispute Panelists who determine domain name disputes in relation to the international .com, .org, .bus, and .net domain name fields. |
