Media and Entertainment

Members have acted in most aspects of the media and entertainment industries. They have advised broadcasters, publishers, producers, financiers, directors, writers, actors, dancers, and craft guilds on most aspects of the legal issues that confront members of the music, film, television, radio, theatrical, book publishing and advertising businesses.

Usually this advice or representation touches on commercial, employment law, intellectual property or regulatory matters. Members' experience enables a strategic view in the context of the relevant business to be applied.

It is also relevant that our members include past Presidents of the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand, past Chairmen of the Royal New Zealand Ballet Company and the New Zealand Film Commission and the current Chair of Auckland Theatre Company.
