Andrew Brown QC Andrew is at the forefront of intellectual property and civil litigation work in Australasia. He is a former partner at Russell McVeagh, and an Oxford-educated former Rhodes Scholar. He is co-author of what is the leading text on intellectual property law in New Zealand, which despite legislative changes remains widely used. As a specialist in intellectual property, Andrew has handled work in that area and IT litigation in the Trade Mark and Patent Office, High Court and Court of Appeal. Andrew has extensive experience in copyright, trade mark, fair trading and patent litigation, along with trade mark and branding advice and strategies. He regularly handles interim injunction applications and other applications for urgent relief, advises on trade mark applications and opposition proceedings. To that may be added extensive experience in advising on advertising and promotions including the Advertising Codes of Practice. Andrew has acted on copyright and licensing issues for many clients in publishing, entertainment, merchandising and advertising. Andrew and fellow Chambers member John Katz would be accepted as two of the leading intellectual property silks in the country.
