Simon Mount Simon Mount is a barrister specialising in public law, litigation, media and criminal law.
He has more than 10 years experience as a litigator and Crown Prosecutor in Auckland. He began his career as a Judges Clerk in 1995, and received a Fulbright Scholarship and an LLM degree from Columbia Law School in New York in 1999. He spent 9 months seconded to the Crown Law Office in Wellington in 2008-2009, specialising in appellate work. He has appeared in the Privy Council and at all levels in the New Zealand court system. He is the Director of the Legal Research Foundation in Auckland, and a frequent contributor to Law Society continuing legal education events. He is one of the two consulting editors of Introduction of Advocacy, has taught advocacy at the University of Auckland Faculty of Law for 10 years, and is a co-teacher of the Masters course Prosecuting in the 21st Century at the University of Auckland.
