Warren Sowerby Warren has a firmly established reputation in New Zealand as our leading mediator. He specialises in only this area of work, has been involved in over 1100 mediations with a facilitated settlement rate of more than 90% of the commercial disputes he has handled. Warren has a growing international reputation too, having worked with participants from the United States, Australia, Asia and around the world. The disputes Warren takes are typically particularly complex, involving significant commercial and at times national and international issues, often with multi-party involvement or large and diverse groups of stakeholders. By adopting a strategic approach to problem-solving which in addition to the legal issues also focuses upon identifying and meeting the parties' commercial and other needs, Warren has been particularly successful in bringing about consensus-based agreements. Warren trained with CDR Associates and his additional training includes attending a Harvard University Mediation Workshop and other US-based specialist training. He has published articles on mediation and regularly lectures, coaches and trains in the field to the highest level. His membership of professional bodies includes an appointment to LEADR's advanced Panel of Mediators.
