Dr Victoria Argyle is employed by Andrew Brown QC working in the field of intellectual property. She studied Law and Chemistry at the University of Otago, graduating with first class honours in Chemistry in 2006 and her LLB and PhD in Chemistry in 2009. Victoria was admitted to the bar in 2011.
Victoria’s PhD research was in the field of supramolecular chemistry.
Following graduation, Victoria worked at Baldwins Intellectual Property. In 2015 she qualified as a Patent Attorney in both New Zealand and Australia and is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Patent Attorneys. During her time at Baldwins, Victoria specialized in the prosecution of New Zealand and Australian patent applications in the fields of chemistry and life sciences. She also provided advice on freedom to operate and infringement and patentability issues.
Victoria has written articles on general IP matters and is co-author on scientific journal articles stemming from her PhD research.
