Josh attended Victoria University of Wellington, graduating with a Bachelor of Laws with Honours (First Class) and a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in History). Josh was admitted to the bar in October 2020.
During his time at University, Josh was a leader of the Community Justice Project and represented New Zealand at the French Centenary Commemorations of World War One. Josh’s research on the potential criminalisation of indecent assault committed in virtual worlds was published in the Victoria University of Wellington Law Review.
Josh also worked for Maria Dew QC as a law clerk while he completed his law degree. During that time he assisted on a variety of employment cases including independent investigations.
