Peter Watts QC writing (as editor of Bowstead & Reynolds on Agency, and author of a 2015 UK article) was recently acknowledged by the Privy Council in a Bermuda appeal, where the Court declined to adopt a holding of Lord Neuberger in the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal in 2010. The HK case had been followed in at least six decisions in England and Wales, but it was actually inconsistent with principle and longstanding authority.
