Bankside Chambers is delighted to announce another new member.

Kate Wiseman joins us as a new member of Chambers.

Kate has worked at Bankside Chambers for the Honourable Robert Fisher QC since 2010. She has been involved in a wide range of mainly civil disputes, often involving mediation or arbitration. Kate was admitted to the bar in 2015. Since then her main focus has been on helping clients resolve financial family disputes, especially those involving companies and/or trusts.

Kate had 20 years’ business experience before entering the law. She has been a company director, manager, small business owner and exporter.

Kate is a co-author of the LexisNexis Professional Responsibilities chapters on mediators and arbitrators. She is an Associate member of AMINZ (the Arbitrators’ and Mediators’ Institute of New Zealand); the NZLS (New Zealand Law Society); and the Family Law Section of the NZLS; and a member of the Auckland Women Lawyers’ Association. She is Deputy Chair of the Parnell Community Trust. Kate previously served on a school Board of Trustees and co-founded a heritage society. She has four children.
