In the first week of October Peter Watts QC presented a paper at a symposium in honour of Lord Sumption held at Trinity College, Cambridge. The symposium of invited experts was devoted to analysing the broad range of private law judgments given by Lord Sumption in his seven years on the United Kingdom Supreme Court. Peter addressed the judgments of Lord Sumption that raised issues of agency law. Lord Sumption was present for the two days of the symposium, offering comments at the conclusion of each paper.
