Bankside Singapore returned to support the Campaign for Greener Arbitrations (CGA) Walk & Talk in Singapore, held as part of Singapore Convention Week 2026.
Bankside Singapore co-sponsored the event with Twenty Essex and Maxwell Chambers.
“Walk & Talks are a simple way of putting greener practices into action,” says CGA member Katie-Beth Jones. “It creates opportunities to connect, exchange ideas and build community while choosing a more sustainable way to meet.”
This year’s Walk & Talk was the largest to date, bringing together students, assessors and dispute resolution practitioners.
Bankside Singapore member and APAC Greener Arbitration Committee member, Dr Anna Kirk led the walk with Katie-Beth Jones of Twenty Essex.
“It was fantastic to see such a great turnout this year,” says Anna. “It was particularly encouraging to see so many students and younger practitioners taking part. Creating opportunities for the next generation to connect with others in the profession, while also thinking about more sustainable ways of working, is a really positive step.”
CGA is a group of arbitration practitioners committed to achieving sustainable change in the way arbitrations are managed. Founded in 2019 by international arbitrator Lucy Greenwood, the Campaign promotes awareness of the environmental impact of arbitrations and produces best-practice guides to help practitioners reduce the carbon footprint of dispute resolution.
