Sarah Jerebine KC was sworn in on Tuesday 15 September 2026 as a Judge of the Supreme Court of the Pitcairn Islands.
Sarah took the affirmation in a remote sitting of the Supreme Court of Pitcairn before the Chief Justice Hon Paul Heath KC in the presence of Sir Ronald Young, President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Paul Davison KC of the Supreme Court, Island Magistrate Simon Young (joining from Pitcairn Island) and Louise Cantillon, Governor of the Pitcairn Islands.
Also in attendance were Deputy-Governor Paul Greenhalgh, the Attorney-General for Pitcairn Danielle Kelly, Charles Blackie QSO VRD, Ombudsman for Pitcairn, Hon Simon Moore KC, the first Public Prosecutor for Pitcairn and Kieran Raftery KC, the present Public Prosecutor, and members of the Pitcairn independent bar. The Mayor of Pitcairn Shawn Christian and members of the Pitcairn community also attended by video link from Adamstown, Pitcairn Island.
Sarah Jerebine KC is a senior civil litigation lawyer, with particular expertise in public law and commercial litigation gained in leading national practices both in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. She regularly appears in the senior courts, often acting for or against the Crown on complex litigation of public interest.
Sarah was admitted to the bar in 2001 and appointed King’s Counsel in November 2025.
