We begin the year with the immensely gratifying news that Bankside has been ranked Band 1 in New Zealand in the 2022 Chambers and Partners Asia-Pacific Guide Rankings, with 15 Bankside barristers receiving rankings.

Chambers and Partners announced their Asia-Pacific Guide Rankings in December 2021 following a rigorous collection of data. Every year, 200 research analysts across 200 jurisdictions provide nearly 6,000 rankings tables following the collection of hundreds of thousands responses from clients.

One source called Bankside “an impressive set, with a reputation for being home to many of New Zealand’s best barristers”. In addition to providing expert arbitrators and mediators “at the top of their profession”, Bankside has been acknowledged for maintaining authority in alternative dispute resolution and for our ongoing presence in Singapore as an arbitration hub.

Clients also acknowledged Bankside’s administrative and support staff as “professional, courteous and helpful”.

One important factor to the top ranking is the consistency in the quality of advice available to clients. “We did not realise how advantageous it was that [our barrister] has chambers at Bankside,” a client shared, “but we have really appreciated referrals to other barristers at Bankside for specialist matters outside of his skill set.”
